Carefully preserved by generations for almost a century and a half, this antique Victorian mourning ring carries sentiment so poignantly down the years. Hand engraved to the inner band, 'In Memory of my Mother, died Aug 3rd 1876', it also carries a finely plaited strand of her hair behind an openwork band with exquisite hand chasing, all of quality 15ct yellow Gold. The central panel a Forget me Not flower picked out in natural Seed Pearls and a teeny rose cut Diamond spark to the centre, all is full of emotion.
A beautiful piece to add to a collection of Mourning jewellery, or to keep in sympathy of that sense of loss which it expresses in such a touching manner. A ring size 'L' or '5.5' no alteration is possible.
Please note, some of the hair has come unbraided, but it is still safely enclosed inside the ring.
