A gorgeous find, this flowersome vintage 9ct Gold and Silver cluster ring dates to the early 20th century and is set with an unusual large emerald green glass stone known as 'Lazarus paste.'
Harold A Lazarus was a London based jeweller who started a company in the early 1900s and specialised in Paste jewels, especially copies of Georgian pieces. The company pioneered actually putting inclusions (in imitation of natural flaws) into the Paste so it looked wonderfully convincingly like Emeralds, as in this example.
In super condition, and framed by twinkly white Pastes to emulate Diamonds this is a rare lovely. The size is a 'K' or '5.25' but we may be able to size a little to suit.
